Your Excellency, President लोरेंसू,
Delegates of both countries,
All the media companions,
Hello!

Been veil!
I heartily welcome President Lorenceu and his delegation to India. This is a historical moment. After 38 years, Angola’s President is visiting India. His visit, not only the Indo-English relations are getting new direction and speed, but also the India and Africa partnership.

Friends,

This year, India and Angola are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. But our relationships are much older than that, very deep. When Angola was fighting for Freedom, India was also standing with full faith and friendship.

Friends,

Today, we have close support in various fields. India is one of the biggest buyers of Angola oil and gas. We have decided to broaden our energy partnership. I am happy to announce that a $ 200 million defense credit line has been approved for modernization of Angola’s armies. Repair and overhaul and supply of defense platforms have also been discussed. We will be happy to cooperate in training of Angola’s armed forces.

Adulting our development partnership, we will share our abilities with Angola in Digital Public Infrastructure, Space Technology, and Capacity Building. Today we have decided to further strengthen our relations in healthcare, diamond processing, fertilizer and critical mineral regions. Yoga and Bollywood’s popularity in Angola is a symbol of the strength of our cultural relations. To strengthen our people to people relationships, we have decided to start the Youth Exchange Program among our youth.

Friends,

We welcome Angola’s decision to join the International Solar Alliance. We have also invited Angola to join India’s initiative Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, Big Cat Alliance and Global Biofuels Alliance.

Friends,

We are unanimous that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity. I thanked him for the sensations of President Lorence and Angola to those killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. We are committed to take firm and decisive action against the term and that who support them. We Thank Angola for their support in our fight against cross – Border Terrorism.

Friends,

On behalf of 140 crore Indians, I wish Angola the best for the chairmanship of the ‘African Union’. It is a matter of pride for us that ‘African Union’ got permanent membership of G20 during India’s G20 chairmanship. The countries of India and Africa raised their voice against the colonial Rule. Motivated each other. Today we have stood together as the voice of the interests, their hopes, expectations and aspirations of the Global South.

Our cooperation with the countries of Africa has gained momentum in the last decade. Our mutual trade has become about 100 billion dollars. Defense cooperation and maritime security have progressed. Last month, the first Naval Maritime Exercise ‘Aikyam’ between India and Africa has been ‘Aikyam’. In the last 10 years, we have opened 17 new Embassies in Africa. Credit lines of over $ 12 billion have been allocated to Africa. Also, the countries of Africa have been given a grant assistance of $ 700 million. Vocational training centers have been opened in 8 countries of Africa. Africa is collaborating with 5 countries in Digital Public Infrastructure. In any disaster, we have the privilege of playing the role of ‘First Responder’ with the people of Africa, shoulder to shoulder.

India and African Union, We are partners in Progress. We are pillars of the global south. I am confident that under the chairmanship of Angola, India and African Union will achieve new heights.

Excellency,

Once again, I heartily welcome you and your delegation to India.
Thank you very much.
Obrigadu.
