Hyderabad: The weather authorities have issued a strong warning for several districts in Tamil Nadu as Cyclone Senyar continues to move closer to the coast. Northern and delta regions, including Chennai surroundings, are expected to receive intense rainfall and strong winds.
Schools in a few coastal towns have been temporarily closed as a precaution.
Disaster response teams are on standby, and fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea for the next 48 hours.
